Fractional CO2 laser
In FCO2 laser, a small fraction of the skin is ablated or injured (microthermal zones), leaving skip areas in between. The undamaged skin beside the sites of laser injury allows rapid re-epithelialization (restoration of epithelium over a denuded area) after treatment, through the migration of viable cells into wounded areas. Wound healing occurs which causes the improvement of the depressed scars, wrinkles and photodamaged skin.
